Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 11, 2026
1. Introduction
HelmRelay ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website, dashboard, and server management services (collectively, the "Service").
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form). If you sign in with a third-party provider (e.g., GitHub, Google), we receive your profile information from that provider.
2.2 Server Data
When you connect a server, our agent collects system metrics (CPU, memory, disk, network usage), service statuses, and command outputs that you initiate through the dashboard. We do not access your server files, databases, or application data unless you explicitly request a command that reads such information.
2.3 Usage Data
We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, commands executed, timestamps, and browser/device information.
2.4 Payment Information
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card numbers. Stripe's privacy policy governs the processing of your payment information.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process transactions and send billing notifications
- Send security alerts and service updates
- Respond to support requests
- Detect, prevent, and address security issues and abuse
- Generate aggregated, anonymized analytics to improve the Service
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:
- Service providers — third-party vendors who help us operate the Service (hosting, payment processing, email delivery). They are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.
5. AI & Command Processing
When you use the AI Command Center, your natural-language instructions are processed by our AI provider (OpenAI). We send only the command context necessary to generate a response. Conversation history is stored in your account and can be deleted at any time.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Server metrics are retained according to your plan's data retention period (see documentation). You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security audits. See our Security page for details.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time
To exercise these rights, contact us at info@helmrelay.com.
9. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
10. Children
The Service is not intended for individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Service.
